QFC’s insurance and reinsurance sector provides businesses and investors with a vital safety net that supports growth and stability. QFC-licensed insurers and reinsurers help individuals and companies manage risk, build stability and plan for a secure future.
Overseen by the QFC Regulatory Authority (QFCRA), firms operate under a range of activities, including underwriting across life, property, motor, liability and other lines, as well as brokerage and captive insurance for related entities.
Alongside a strong regulatory framework, Qatar’s insurance market is accelerating with the adoption of technology. The market is projected to reach USD 49,291.7 million by 2033, exhibiting a growth rate (CAGR) of 11.4% during 2025–2033. As demand rises, QFC continues to evolve its offerings to help clients grow with confidence.
