The Company Limited by Guarantee (LLC(G)) under Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) provides a streamlined, internationally recognised structure for establishing non-profit, member-based organisations—without the need for share capital.
Designed for entities focused on advocacy, sector collaboration, trade and professional development over profit generation, this structure enables organisations to operate effectively while remaining focused on their mission.
LLC(G)s are particularly well suited for business membership organisations, professional associations and business councils. They operate as independent legal entities within a transparent, English common law-based framework, offering credibility, flexibility, and a strong foundation for collaboration and growth.
Business Councils play a pivotal role in fostering trade, strengthening networks and representing members’ interests in Qatar and abroad. Setting up a Business Council within the QFC connects global business opportunities with Qatar’s expanding market.
Organisations commonly established under the LLC(G) structure include:
National and international Business Councils
Chambers of Commerce
Trade or sector-based groups
