Once a firm is licensed and registered in the Qatar Financial Centre, the Companies Registration Office (CRO) continues to support the firm with ongoing corporate filings and licence-related changes. Timely submission of the required filings helps keep corporate records accurate and ensures uninterrupted operations.

Ongoing Corporate Filings

QFC firms are required to submit certain filings to the Companies Registration Office. These include annual filings as well as event-driven notifications whenever changes occur within the firm. All filings are submitted through the QFC Client Portal.

Types of Filings

Annual Filings

Submission of the Annual Return, Audited Financial Statements and Ultimate Beneficial Ownership report to keep the firm’s records up to date.

Directors & Officers

Notification of appointments, cessations or changes in personal details of directors and secretaries.

Shareholders & Share Capital

Filing of share transfers, share allotments, alterations or reductions of share capital, and changes in shareholder particulars.

Core Company Details

Updates to the firm’s name, registered office address, articles of association or financial year end.

Licence Changes

Applications for variations to the Scope of Licence or changes to registered functions such as the Senior Executive Function or MLRO.

Other Notifications

Submission of financing statements, real estate related applications, deregistration requests and other statutory notifications.

Extensions, Waivers and Modifications

Where a firm is unable to meet a filing deadline for justifiable reasons, a request for an extension of time may be submitted through the Client Portal. Supporting documentation from a third party should accompany the request. The CRO will review the application on its merits and communicate the QFCA’s decision.
