At QFC we passionately strive to adhere to our core values as our moral compass. They prescribe our culture, which, in turn, enables our strategic intent. Our core values express the standards of who we are, what we do and, importantly, how we do it.
The independent QFC entities work in harmony to ensure our clients get the best operational, regulatory and judicial offering.
The QFC Authority manages (QFCA) and maintains the QFC legal and tax environment, and licenses firms to conduct business in or from the QFC. The Authority also develops relationships with the global financial community and other key institutions, both within and outside Qatar, helping to develop the country’s private sector.
The QFC Regulatory Authority is the independent regulator of the QFC, established to authorise and regulate firms and individuals conducting financial services in or from the QFC. It was established by Law No. 7 of 2005 of the State of Qatar. Its objectives include the promotion and maintenance of efficiency, transparency, integrity and confidence in the QFC, as well as the maintenance of financial stability and reduction of systemic risk. It also strives to develop financial awareness and protection for customers and investors.
The Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre was established by QFC Law No. 2 of 2009 (Amending Certain Provisions of the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC)) to provide a modern, specialist, civil and commercial court designed to hear cases quickly, economically and in front of internationally renowned, independent judges.
